Four Months Old

We have been so busy with life, we haven’t had a chance to update everyone!  Kennedy is  now four months old!  We had a wonderful summer at home together, but now mommy is back to work.  Here is a rundown of our summer events!
Kennedy enjoyed her first 4th of July.  We traveled to Ennis and stayed with Grandma Ne and Papa.  We went to the parade (Kennedy slept through it) and then spent the rest of the day hanging out.  Mommy and daddy went to the fireworks at night while Grandma Ne babysat.  We have been very lucky to spend a lot of time in Ennis with Grandma and Papa!  Papa swears he is going to teach Kennedy naughty things and spoil her, and we believe him.
In early July Kennedy watched daddy play for the first time at Music on Main.  She seemed to enjoy it, enough to sleep through it.  We plan on investing in some pink ear buds for her so she can adjust to our rock star lifestyle.
We took Kennedy on her first road trip.  She did really well in the car, only crying when she was hungry.  Our first stop was in Coeur d’ Alene to see the two aunties, uncle Brian and cousin Soph.  Soph was very impressed with Kennedy, she wanted to grab her.  We also made a stop in Bellingham to see the Silvas, who were expecting a baby boy any day!  Our final destination was in Duvall, to see Levi’s parents and sister Nichole.  We had a lot of fun!  Debbie and Steve watched Kennedy for the day while we went shopping.  On one of the days we all took a trip back to one of Levi’s childhood homes.  It was really fun to see him reminiscing of the past.  Steve and Debbie also threw us (and when I say ‘us’ I mean Kennedy) a little get together with the Boggio family.  It was really nice to see everyone and Kennedy sure enjoyed all of the attention.
Kennedy experienced her first Bite of Bozeman, which she also slept through.  Mommy and daddy enjoyed food and gin/juice though!
Kennedy is now the proud owner of two new cousins.  Both Maggie Austin (Annie Austin) and Evan Silva (Mendy Silva) were born in July.  Levi’s other sister Cara is also expecting a baby in February!  Family get togethers are going to be CRAZY!  We are so happy that Kennedy will get to experience the bond of having cousins so close in age.  Grandpa Jimmy has tattooed the names of all of his grandchildren on his arm, it’s filling up!  Be careful what you wish for Big Jimmy!
Mommy has returned to work, and is adjusting well.  Kennedy is attending a home-like daycare not far from our house.  The family who runs it is very nice and Kennedy seems happy.  Kennedy is the only baby at her daycare, and the older kids love her.  It was a difficult transition to be away from our little princess, but we have survived it.
Speaking of princesses, Ms. Princess of Westgate has had some MAJOR achievements in the past couple weeks.  She is a very happy and smiley baby, but just recently starting belly laughing.  It’s the type of laughter we would like to bottle and sell.  We spend hours trying to get her to laugh, but she does it when she feels like doing it (stubborn like mommy).  She is nearing the ‘rolling over’ stage but stops once she is on her side.  We do find her in a different position each time we wake her in the morning.  She sleeps through the night and wakes up happy most mornings.  Her new thing is to sit in her walker and she also likes the bumbo chair.  Tubbie time (bath time) is her favorite.  She splashes around in the tub like a little fish!  She loves when we sing ’splish splash I was taking a bath’.  Mommy is a really good singer.  This morning she started to hold her bottle on her own for more than a couple minutes.  We love our smart cookie!

Two Months!

Hello everyone!  We are finally on a schedule that includes a little mommy and daddy time, now I need to catch up on Kennedy’s blog!

Kennedy is growing quickly, I can hardly believe it’s been two months since her birth.  The first few weeks of her life were rough on mommy and daddy, as no one could have prepared us for the lack of sleep we were going to endure.  Luckily she is a happy baby and only cries when she is hungry.  We are also lucky that she has her days and nights figured out.

She has quite the personality. she smiles all of the time.  The most humorous part about her right now is the fact that she sounds like a man when she burps and poops.

She has had quite a few major “firsts” in the last few weeks:  she slept through her first tornado (the last one went through Billings 50 yrs ago), stayed with Grandma Ne and Papa for the first time while mommy and daddy went to the beach, and she slept through the night for the first time last night!  We are especially excited about that last “first” and hope it continues.

Next week she has her two month shots, I am going to make daddy hold her so she thinks he’s the one causing her pain.  She is also going on her first road trip to Seattle next week, to visit Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Steve.

We are so blessed to have such a perfect, beautiful daughter.  Our hearts are filled with excitement and love.  We can’t wait to share more fun stories about our little angel!

First Video!

I got a couple of random but cool video clips with my little Panasonic point and shoot camera.  I wish I would have taken more video but I wanted to make sure I didn’t fill up my card too soon!

It’s A Girl!

Angie seemed pretty excited about the idea of being able to do a little baby blogging for friends and fam.  She’ll have three months off of work smack dab in the middle of summer so she’s looking forward to the baby  adventures that this summer will hold!
